The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri, Inc. believes in the power of philanthropy to unite and transform our region. We administer 100 scholarship funds for students pursuing an education through a 2 or 4 year college/university or trade school. The Community Foundation awards nearly $250,000 annually to students from the Northwest Missouri region based on varying criteria.

My Scholarship Central features scholarships from community providers, including Andrew Vidal Scholarship Fund, Avis Renee Riddle Memorial Foundation, Bolivian Society of St. Louis, MOACAC, Journey to College, MASFAP, Missouri Chamber of Commerce, OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates, Venezuelan Association in Missouri, and the Women Legislators of Missouri. St. Louis Community Foundation works with donors who want to help a wide variety of students. Some scholarships are based upon where a student lives, other require certain majors and several are open to students whose parents work for particular companies. While many of our scholarships are limited to St. Louis area students (including Metro East Illinois counties), students across country may find a scholarship we offer for which they are eligible. We award approximately $1.6 million in scholarships each year.

Flourish is an independent nonprofit organization serving youth encountering educational and economic barriers. It was initially founded by employees of Veterans United Home Loans and their values and commitment to enhance lives and sponsored by the Veterans United Foundation. The Flourish Initiative offers two programs: a Traditional Scholarship and a Technical, Trade, Certificate Scholarship. Applicants must attend a higher education program within 30 miles of Boone County.
